Visiting Covenant Presbyterian Church
Welcome to Covenant Presbyterian Church! We are glad that you are here and invite you to be a part of our community.
We were all new at one time, and we remember what it’s like. We want people on our campus to experience what it is to be known and cared for. Here you will find some information to get you started, because it’s easier to venture into a new place when you know a little of what to expect.
What to Expect on Sunday Mornings
About 1,000 people attend Covenant each Sunday, and our volunteers are here to welcome you and help you find your way (see Help on Sundays below).
Our congregation spans a range of ages and backgrounds. The pastors typically dress in their robes, but you will see people in the congregation dressed in all styles—from jeans to business suits. Covenant currently offers both traditional and contemporary worship styles that offer excellent teaching, preaching and music. All of our services last about an hour. We encourage you to greet the people sitting around you, but no one will single you out as a visitor. We want you to experience worship and community on our campus without the expectation of giving financially. Feel free to let the offering plate pass by when it comes down your row.
Your kids are encouraged to attend worship services with you. However, we also offer a variety of Sunday morning programs for children, preteens, middle and high school kids. We also have a variety of Sunday classes and small groups for adults to connect in ways that interest them.
Help on Sundays
If you need help finding visitor parking, look for a Welcome Team member wearing a denim apron or hat at the entrance of the campus sidewalk and at the circular drive. Shuttles run continuously from a satellite parking area to alleviate congestion. Welcome volunteers can supply you with a map to the satellite parking.
If you have questions about worship or classes, the Welcome Team helper can answer them or direct you to someone who can assist. Our Welcome volunteers also can help you navigate the campus to locate programs for children and youth, as well as adult Sunday School classes.
Getting Connected
Getting connected at Covenant is about creating relationships that simply don’t develop by attending worship services. Relationships require time to build. One way you can get connected is by joining a small group or Bible study. The Bible studies are available for all ages—children, youth, men and women. Smaller groups of men and women meet many times and at different locations throughout the week. If you are interested in joining a small group, you can choose one that meets your needs for a similar life stage or interest.
Covenant also supports our people at the point of their needs. We have many different support ministries such as AA, Al-Anon, Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support group, and Walking the Mourner’s Path. These support groups meet at various times and locations on our campus throughout the week. More information on these and all of the support ministries can be found here.
Our hope is that you enjoy your Sunday with us. Below are the particulars of our location and contact information. Please call or email us with any further questions.
