Sunday Mornings

SUNDAY MORNINGS AT 9:30

Preschool Place Sunday School for 2 year olds (by 9/1/09) – Kindergarteners at 9:30 a.m.

Children aged two years through Pre-Kindergarten enjoy an hour of song, prayer and Bible stories in the portables. The curriculum is activity-oriented for those energetic little ones. Tons of fun!

Zone K-4 Sunday School for Kindergarten – 5th grade at 9:30 a.m.

Our elementary age Sunday School program, Zone K-4, provides eight unique learning centers for children to be immersed in the Bible using food, games, computers, science, art, music and storytelling. The children are divided into groups according to grade and gender and are led by “Shepherds” to a different center each week. The hands-on lesson presented at each center reflects stories being studied throughout the year.

“Bible Bucks” are issued to students for memorizing the point of the day, the scripture of the month, leading in prayer, etc. Those bucks can be redeemed at our “Inspiration Store” where kids can purchase items that reinforce what we are teaching in Zone K-4. Our hour concludes with a large gathering time where we sing songs of worship and praise. Zone K-4 has proven to be an energizing and motivating hour for kids!

SUNDAY MORNINGS AT 11:00

ten45 11 a.m. Worship

Childcare is available for children ages three months through three years during the 11 a.m. worship service. Children’s worship is offered for four year-olds through 4th grade. Children 5th grade and older are invited to join their parents in sanctuary worship.

Treasure Island Children’s Worship at 11 a.m.

Children four years old through 4th grade attend the beginning of ten45 and 11 a.m. worship with their parents. A few minutes into the services, the children are invited to go to Treasure Island and are escorted by Covenant staff members to the 3rd floor of the Fellowship Education building where they are to be picked up by their parents after service.

Activities in the Sunday schools parallel those of Covenant’s sanctuary worship. Specially trained storytellers lead the children in this unique experience sharing stories and songs of God.

Our goal at Covenant Presbyterian Church is to make Sunday mornings the best part of every child’s week! We want to provide a safe place where kids can grow down, out, and up in their walk with Jesus Christ. Serving God’s children is an honor and one that we enjoy and look forward to each and every day.
