Small Growth Group Opportunities
Covenant Presbyterian Church offers a variety of opportunities for people to meet in small groups of 6-12 people. While some groups are able to meet on campus and have childcare, most small growth group experiences take place in the homes of congregation members where group members rotate hosting and childcare duties (if necessary).
Small groups are a way to have true community and fellowship within a large congregation. As members get to know each other better, trust, sharing, accountability, and long-lasting friendships emerge.
People are usually placed into a small group by church staff with some input from the person seeking to join.
Each semester small groups are given the opportunity to choose from a list of books on Christian living (evangelism, parenting, marriage, etc.), an inductive Bible study, or a study written by church staff. All of the studies are chosen to help people develop better Biblical knowledge and to challenge them in their faith journey.

Small Group Rules and Guidelines
1) Confidentiality – Small groups are safe places to speak about our lives and beliefs. Please honor the trust those in your group have placed in you by keeping their information private unless otherwise instructed.
2) Priority – Participation in the meetings and life of the small group are agreed to be a priority.
3) Empty Chair – We are always open to new people and even to the possibility of leaving to start new small groups.
4) Equal Opportunity Participation – This is a small group not “John Smith’s” group. Everyone should get the chance to share and talk.
5) Respect – We may have different beliefs and ideas but we all are united in Christ. Let’s honor and respect each other even if we don’t agree.
6) Accountability – we are called to mutually hold each other accountable in our faith journey as we strive to imitate Christ.
Our goal at Covenant Presbyterian Church is to make Sunday mornings the best part of every child’s week!
