Message from the Stewardship Committee

The role of the stewardship committee is to help and encourage members to engage in prayerful consideration as to which of God's gifts they will return to Him. As we approach Covenant's pledge Dedication Sunday (November 9th), we want to share a few thoughts as you and your family evaluate your commitment.

First, giving strengthens our spiritual bond with God. Giving is an act of faith, as well as obedience. What is important is not just the act of giving, but the spiritual decision-making process that leads us to understand His will. When we act on faith, we reorder our spending priorities, and we give first, rather than giving the leftovers. The same is true with all God's gifts to us: time, talent, and riches. That act of prayerful pledging is as important as the gift itself.

Our pledges help our church leaders plan the breadth and depth of our ministry for the next year. Our financial pledge supports the church's mission, it strengthens our ministry through our Christian education programs, small group sessions, fellowship opportunities, and our mission work throughout the world. This stewardship drive will provide us with a good estimate of our available resources for next year.
