Street Youth Ministry
The Street Youth Ministry provides support, witness and discipleship and counseling to young men and women (typically aged 17 to 25) who are homeless and on the streets of Austin.
When:
Street Youth Ministry is on the street Monday through Friday (except Tuesday). Monthly volunteer events also are held one Sunday afternoon per month.
How can I help/participate?
Street Youth Ministry seeks volunteers willing to step up to the following assignments:
- Make Food:
Every Friday afternoon, Street Youth Ministry needs sandwiches or snacks to share with the homeless. You can sign up to provide sandwiches or snacks on the Care Calendar. Enter the following information: CALENDAR ID: 13415 and SECURITY CODE: 3755. - Group Service Project:
One Sunday afternoon per month, Street Youth Ministry leads a group of community volunteers and street youth to perform a service project together. Dates are listed on the contact website below. - Have a Sock Drive:
Volunteers can organize a sock drive to collect new or used socks for homeless youth. - Learn as a group:
Street Youth Ministry provides education for community and church groups on how to understand and help homeless youth.
