Prayer Shawl Ministry
The next Prayer Shawl Ministry gathering is Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. This one year anniversary will host some of the prayer shawl recipients and the Chaplin from Dell Children’s Hospital. The hospital is partner with the Prayer Shawl Ministry in the distribution of the shawls. The Chaplin will bring some of the pictures of shawl recipients.
We would love to have you join us. The group gathers on the first and third Tuesday of every month.
Participants knit or crochet shawls for people in our congregation and others in our community who live with chronic or long-term illness. These shawls can be given to men or women, and the shawls are tangible reminders of being “wrapped” in God’s love during a difficult time.
The Prayer Shawl team gathers twice a month on Tuesday afternoons in the Sanctuary Parlor (114). Experience is not necessary, and we provide instruction to those who want to learn. Join us in this ministry of compassion!
