Nico and Pam Daams
Wycliffe Bible Translators—South Pacific
Nico is originally from the Netherlands and Pam from Houston. They have worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators since 1977, first in the Solomon Islands and later in Micronesia. They focus on helping Polynesian groups translate the New Testament and parts of the Old Testament into their own language. The Daams’ work has expanded since 2000, and they now have several teams working with them—from French Polynesia to Papua New Guinea. Pam also serves as the Pacific Area Scripture Use Coordinator, looking for ways to encourage fuller use of the translated Scriptures. They are based in Melbourne, Australia.
Pam’s birthday is June 30. Nico’s birthday is August 12. Their anniversary in ministry is July 1977.
