Deacons
The mission of our deacons is to ensure that members of the Covenant church family receive the care, support and encouragement needed for facing life’s challenges. The deacon ministry is a ministry of sacrificial service. The office of deacon as set forth in Scripture is one of sympathy, witness and service after the example of Jesus Christ. Deacons minister to those in need, to the sick, to the friendless and to anyone who may be in distress, both within and beyond the community of faith. Deacons provide necessary congregational care which allows people to continue to grow up in Christ and to reach out with Christ’s love in Austin and around the world.
