Austin Bridge Builder's Alliance
Austin Bridge Builder’s Alliance (ABBA) is a Christian ministry whose vision is a connected body of Christ in a transformed Austin. The ABBA mission is to facilitate and serve leaders to build alliances that better fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. ABBA is uniquely positioned to serve Christian and community leaders to accomplish more together than each could do individually. ABBA connects resources with needs and actively works to facilitate strategic alliances within various sectors of the city that better impact the Austin area with the good news of the Gospel.
Here are several of the key ministry efforts of ABBA:
- In the City, For the City is a ministry expo and celebration in November. Last year it was held on November 16 at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, with more than 100 Christian ministries and non-profits highlighted before Christian and community leaders. In the City, For the City is part of a greater effort to connect churches as partners in reaching the city for Christ.
- The Pastors‘ Prayer Gathering: Pastors of Austin churches across all denominations and leaders of key ministries gather each year in the spring for prayer and worship.
- ABBAConnect is the monthly e-magazine of ABBA that highlights ministry activities and opportunities and events around the community.
When:
- In the City, For the City will be held in November 2010. Churches and individuals are encouraged to attend.
- Pastors’ Prayer Gathering will take place Spring 2010.
- Administrative, writing and research needs for ABBAConnect are ongoing and can be scheduled with ABBA at a time convenient for you.
