The Covenant Presbyterian Foundation was established in 1998 with the generous bequest of $1 million from longtime members of Covenant Presbyterian Church. To receive and administer this gift, and in anticipation of future gifts, the Session called for establishing the Covenant Presbyterian Foundation. Since then, members continue making various commitments to benefit generation to come.

The Foundation’s largest grant was in 2007 to the Building Beyond Boundaries Campaign in the amount of $500,000. It paid off the mortgage on Covenant Hall and strengthened the church in its negotiations for long-term financing of the Fellowship & Educational Building.

Other grants include contributions to the Karl Bombaugh Theological Education Fund for assistance to Seminary students under the care of Covenant Presbyterian Church, funding for major improvements to the sound system, renovation of the pulpit area in the Sanctuary, and relocation assistance for an incoming pastor.

With 2010 assets of approximately $563,541, the Foundation continues to make thoughtful decisions on how Foundation funds should be invested and managed to support the mission of the church.

Gifts to the Foundation may be unrestricted or directed by the donor according to Foundation policy.
