The Navigators
Covenant supports Daniel and Karen Evans who work with Navigators, an evangelism and discipleship training organization that emphasizes one-on-one and small group relationships. The Evans have a thriving ministry with foreign students in Austin, particularly those from China. Right now, they are working with a group of 21 students who are in the UT Executive MBA program this fall. There are two opportunities for us to connect with these students individually: Help with an English class on Fridays at 2pm at Grace Covenant Church (183 and 360) or host one or more of these visitors (who have been away from their families for more than a year now) at your home for Thanksgiving dinner.
The students are mostly in their 30s and are rising executives with a major Chinese corporation that provided them with a year of English language instruction and then this MBA program. These are future leaders in the Chinese business community.
