Summer Camps

What's the big deal about Summer Camp?
Summer camps are awesome! Both of our camps are programmed to be a ton of fun. Whether you're enjoying the beauty of God's creation in Colorado by tearing up the white water rafting, or in Florida by enjoying the white sand beaches, you are going to have a great time. Camps are a great opportunity to build deep, long lasting friendships, and a great way to get connected to the student ministries group. On top of all of that we will be challenged and inspired as some of the best leaders lead us in a time of Bible study and worship. Come join us for a week of fun with friends and God.

Daytona Beach 2011 (High School)

July 10-16 — Daytona Beach, Florida
What is better to do this summer than take a week and get out of the Texas heat and hit the beach?
Join 8500 Students for a week of hanging out with your friends and spending the nights at an amazing hotel right on the beach, and learning about what it means to be Devoted to God. Also, there will be free times that consist of beach fun, swimming in the ocean, walking and shopping on the Daytona Beach ocean front, and lots of other amazing activities. And you can't forget about 5 Days of amazing teaching, worship, and Bible study.

Hotel: The Plaza Resort and Spa
The Plaza Resort and Spa is Daytona's most historic resort but don't let that fool you. This hotel has some of the most Luxurious and spacious accommodations, four-star features, an outdoor pool with a large oceanfront sundeck, fitness center and poolside eatery which opens up to an amazing traffic free beach. To sum it all up, this is the place you want to stay when you are in Daytona. Trust us, this hotel is amazing.

Speaker: Louie Giglio
A passionate communicator and innovative thinker, Louie is the founder of Passion Conferences, a collegiate movement. The aim of Passion is spiritual awakening in this generation, an emerging wave of students that proclaim, “Your name and renown are the desire of our souls.”

As a part of the Passion network, Giglio heads sixstepsrecords, home to artist/worhipers David Crowder*Band, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman and Charlie Hall. Louie has since founded the Atlanta church plant, Passion City Church and is the author of the books The Air I Breathe and I am not, but I know I AM.

Music: Chris Tomlin
Chris Tomlin is a worship leader and gifted songwriter from Grand Saline, Texas. He is the lead worshiper at the Passion City Church and has written a large number of well-known and often-sung worship songs such as "How Great is Our God," "Famous One," and "Holy is the Lord." Chris is also very involved with the Passion movement, which is aimed at inspiring a passion for God and his renown in the hearts of young adults and is devoted to focusing the attention on the Lord in worship experiences.

The Great Escape (Middle School)

June 18-24, 2011—Gunnison, Colorado
The Great Escape Rockies trip is an exciting and memorable one that is full of spending time with God and friends. It be filled with invigorating worship, lessons from speakers, small group times, skits, games, frisbee, whitewater rafting, shaving cream wars, a dance party and exploring the amazing area around Gunnison.

We sincerely hope that you will join us for this week in Colorado as it is definitely a camp that not only changes lives, but can begin wonderful, long lasting friendships as well.
