Nursery and Childcare
Our goal at Covenant Presbyterian Church is to make Sunday mornings the best part of every child’s week. We want to provide a safe place where kids can grow down, out, and up in their walk with Jesus Christ. Serving God’s children is an honor and one that we enjoy and look forward to each and every day. Covenant’s excellent staff of caregivers (coordinated by Jaclyn Black) provides a safe, warm and loving environment for newborns (3 months) through toddlers for all worship services. We make every effort to promote positive feelings about church and being part of God’s family—not just for children in our care, but also for parents. Parents are required to sign their children into and out of the nursery to ensure security. Parents or guardians attending worship or church sponsored events can be reached via our digital paging system.
We provide childcare for children ages three months through 12 years by reservation for most meetings and special church activities. You should make reservations for childcare during these events as soon as possible, and no later than two workdays (48 hours) preceding events. You can make childcare reservations by calling Jaclyn at 334-3020 or emailing childcare@covenant.org.
There are at least two caregivers per room for the safety of your children. Our Nursery Coordinator and Director of Children’s Ministries supervise all caregivers. We select our caregivers based on their experience and love of children. They are trained in caring for your child and are certified in CPR and First Aid.
The caregivers use their judgment along with suggested child-to-caregivers ratios to determine the number of children we can safely accept in the nursery. On occasion, a request for a volunteer from a church group may be made.
We take care of your children in rooms with age appropriate equipment and materials. Clean sheets are on all beds. We disinfect toys and furniture after each session.
