Weekly, this diverse group of men of varying ages, meets for Bible study and fellowship. Named after the group’s friend and mentor, John Guthrie, the group does not use a study guide nor do they have a designated teacher. Each week 2 or 3 chapters of a book of the Bible are assigned for reading and study. Each member is ask to be responsible for researching commentaries or other reference sources for information which could shed light on the assigned reading. Lively and earnest discussions take place always with the goal of trying to determine God’s meaning or message in the chapters. Anyone interested in a group with little structure or formal study process would enjoy this group.
