Baptism at Covenant
Congratulations! You have begun a wonderful and exciting journey with your child. Your child’s baptism will announce to the world and your church family that this journey with God is under way.
What is baptism?
It is the sign and seal through which we are joined to Christ.
What does it mean to be baptized?
Your child’s baptism means that he is joined to Jesus Christ forever…as he is baptized with water, Jesus baptizes him with his Spirit, washing away all his sins. Your child’s baptism is God’s gift of grace and also God’s summons to respond to that grace.
Does Covenant baptize any child whose parents wish it?
Covenant baptizes the children whose parents are Covenant members. We desire parents to be an integral part of our church, serving and being served, so that we may also include their children as part of the Covenant family.
